John 5:8-9 – “Jesus said to him, “Get up, take up your bed, and walk.” And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked. Now that day was the Sabbath.”
Jesus spoke one sentence and the man’s life was changed forever. Thirty-eight years of being crippled, depressed, lonely, outcast, and desperate, yet one second of God’s word coming forth and it was all washed away.
Those things which are most severe and impossible to us are conquered with one word from God. That which steals years from our life and robs us of our joy and hope is shattered with one word from the Holy One.
All you need is for God to speak a word and all you are hoping for can become reality. All you need is God to speak and that which has been impossible will become yours for His glory.
Understand that the demons of this world fall at the feet of Christ. At the mention of His name they tremble in fear. We serve the Holy, awesome, and righteous God. There is none before Him and none close to Him. There is no one like Him, there is no God but the Lord. At His word, the worlds came into existence. At His word kingdoms of this world crumble. At His word the lame are healed, the blind can see, the sinners are forgiven, and the prisoners are set free. His word created it all, and all things bow at the mention of His name.
One word from God equals new life for you and for me. Praise His name! His love is everlasting, and His mercies are new every morning.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)
